Introduction to Shipping – Sydney

A cargo vessel sails away from an arrow-shaped tile that announces the Intro to Shipping course

June 25, 2024 All day

Our most popular course covers the essential elements of vessels, cargo and shipping.

Course participants will find the presentation lively and informative. This course features:

  • Site visit to CSL Australia’s impressive Glebe Island facility, and potentially
  • a ship tour – subject to shipping schedule (to be confirmed late May)

Course facilitator

The session will be facilitated by Tony Cousins, GAICD.

Tony is one of Australia’s leading marine consultants with decades of experience in shipping and maritime. After qualifying as a Master Mariner, Tony enjoyed a career as an international executive in stevedoring, marine towage and port management. Now at the helm of his own Marine Consultancy and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Tony is a non-Executive Director of Melbourne’s Victorian International Container Terminal (VICT), a Councillor of the Australian Mariners Welfare Society, a Director of the Sydney Amateur Sailing Club, and also serves as acting Chairman of Wylie’s Baths Trust.
